A 19-year-old resident of the Otwock poviat during one week was detained twice by the police for driving under the influence of intoxicants. At that time, he also broke the car, which did not prevent him from driving him. The case will have a final in court.
Policemen patrolling Jana Pawła II street in Otwock witnessed an unusual situation. They noticed a young man moving heavily damaged green Honda.
As they described, the car had a broken rear lamp and a completely damaged front. Policemen immediately linked the young driver with an intervention, during which the driver of the Green Honda in the Wiązowna commune caused a collision and escaped.
Policemen reacted and detained a man. It turned out that driving a broken car and escaping from a collision site are not the only problems of the 19-year-old.
Police: he led under the influence of drugs
“After checking a man in police databases, it came to light that he did not have a driving license, and on Monday he was detained by another patrol of the Otwock road for driving under the influence of intoxicants,” described in the communiqué the commissioner Patryk Domarecki from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Wołomin.
The police also examined the 19-year-old for the content of intoxicants in the body during the next arrest. As they conveyed, this time the study indicated marijuana.
The officers detained the Honda registration certificate and towed the wreck to the police parking lot. “As if all this was not enough, the police found at the 19-year-old e-cigarette with THC, which he drugs. During the search of his place of residence, the police came across marijuana,” added Domarecki.

The case will go to court
As the police announced, the man will have to bear the consequences of his reckless actions. The court will decide about his fate.
For driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication or under the influence of an intoxicator art. 178a of the Penal Code provides for a prison sentence of up to 3 years. Having intoxicants is also threatened with the same penalty.
