The analogue mission of TVN24 BiS reporter Hubert Kijek continues. Since Friday, “our man on the moon” has been staying in the LunAres habitat, where he does everything that real astronauts do. Conducting experiments is not the only task of the reporter – he also participates in many interesting studies.

Hubert Kijek joined the Theia II 2023 mission, which takes place at the LunAres research center located near saws (Greater Poland Voivodeship). The TVN24 BiS reporter will be locked in an environment simulating a real lunar mission for a week, with almost no contact with the outside world. We can follow his actions in the program “Our Man in the Moon”.

As Hubert Kijek said, the next day of the mission brought many challenges. In addition to working in the biology lab, the reporter also looked at what the engineers of the Theia II 2023 mission are working on.

– The engineers were debating. They were discussing a device to help us on a lunar walk,’ he explained. – During these simulated walks we will test how samples are collected on the Silver Globe. The engineers came up with the idea to build a new device, which they thought was better.

Kijek also took part in physical training. During the mission, the crew trains with the help of a small device designed by the Paralympic champion.

“Although it looks inconspicuous, believe me, you can burn a lot of calories,” added the reporter.
