Police officers from Pabianice (Łódź Voivodeship) took a man from the S14 expressway. – It turned out that he was a resident of Podkarpacie, who had recently left the hospital in Łódź – they report. The 47-year-old had no money and could not contact his family, so – as he told the officers – he went home on foot.
Police officers intervened on the expressway after dark. One of the drivers informed the police that someone was walking along the side of the expressway. A spokeswoman for the Pabianice police station admits that finding a pedestrian walking in dark clothes along the side of the expressway was not easy. This was done near the Dobroń junction. – The man did not have any reflectors and was completely invisible to other road users – says staff sergeant Agnieszka Jachimek from the police in Pabianice.
He left the hospital and had no money to return home, so he started on foot
The officers invited him to the police car, where they heard that the man was trying to walk home after being hospitalized in a hospital in Łódź. He told the police that he had no money on him. In addition, he cannot contact his family who could help him in this difficult situation – reports Jachimek.
According to the report of the 47-year-old, he worked in Germany and returned home for the holidays. He was supposed to be attacked in Łódź – deprived of his phone and cash. He presented the officers with an extract from the hospital, which showed that he had spent four days in the ward. Then the confused man was to state that he could only get home on foot.
The intervening officers transported the man to Pabianice and contacted the 47-year-old’s daughter, who transferred him money to travel home.
– Uniforms also went with the 47-year-old to the station PKP Pabianice and informed about the possibility of returning home – the policewoman reports.
