A resident of Pabianice (Łódź Voivodeship) received a fine of one and a half thousand and 12 penalty points for turning left from the straight ahead lane and driving into the path of an oncoming tram. In a conversation with the police, he admitted that he did not look in the mirror. – We appeal to people to use common sense, prudence and caution when driving all vehicles and, of course, look in the mirrors – reminds the police.

The incident took place on September 27 before 6 p.m. on Zamkowa Street in Pabianice. The video published by Stop Cham on social media shows the driver of a silver Toyota turning left from the straight ahead lane and driving into the path of tram line 41.

We asked the police spokeswoman in Pabianice about the incident. As it turned out, the driver of the passenger car was punished with a large fine and penalty points. – A 46-year-old resident of Pabianice, sitting behind the wheel of a passenger car, made an incorrect left turn, which led to a collision with a tram that was moving correctly and was driven by a 26-year-old tram driver. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, both drivers were sober, said Sgt. staff. Agnieszka Jachimek from the police in Pabianice. She added: – The passenger car driver was fined PLN 1,500 and received 12 penalty points.

The police spokeswoman in Pabianice said that the driver of the passenger car admitted in a conversation with the officers that he did not look in the mirror. – This rush and lack of caution have a significant impact on road safety.
