The police have established the identity of the person whose body was found in a burnt car in Nowy Tomyśl County (Wielkopolska Voivodeship). – He is a 44-year-old man, he was wanted – said junior midshipman Andrzej Borowiak from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań.

Policemen, as we reported shortly after the incident, on Wednesday afternoon they were alerted about a burnt vehicle in the town of Pakosław in Nowy Tomyśl County. Upon arrival, a charred body was found in the vehicle. As part of the activities carried out, DNA tests were ordered at the forensic laboratory of the Police Headquarters in Poznań. As informed by junior asp. Borowiak, thanks to the tests, it is known that he is a 44-year-old man who has been wanted since last week.

Andrzej Borowiak said that due to the fights, threats and other crimes, the 44-year-old was ordered to leave his former partner's house in April. He was banned from approaching her and her daughter. – This man's quick-tempered nature probably caused him to break into his partner's house a few days ago and try to kill her daughter and two of her friends – said Borowiak.

Attack and disappearance

The attack took place on Saturday, April 27. – The man tried to commit murder with an axe. Fortunately, the young woman and two of her friends managed to escape from the place. They notified the police and from that moment the search for the 44-year-old began. The man was not staying at any address known to the police – said Junior Asp. Borowiak.

The circumstances of the man's death are being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
