There are things that I like better, there are things that I would probably sharpen even more – this is what its MP, chairman of Nowoczesna, Adam Szłapka, said on TVN24 about the program of 100 specifics of the Civic Coalition. He stated that the program presented by Donald Tusk “completely changes the philosophy of the state.” – There is no giving away, but there is a focus on entrepreneurship, work and solidarity – he added.
The guest of “Piasecki’s Talk” on Monday was Adam Szłapka, MP of the Civic Coalition, chairman of Nowoczesna.
He was asked whether, as the leader of the most liberal part of KO, he is “consumed with doubts” looking at Donald Tusk presented on Saturday a program of 100 specifics for 100 days of government. – There are things that I like more, there are things that I would probably sharpen. But in general, this is a complete change in the philosophy of the state. This means focusing on work, entrepreneurship, making things easier, but at the same time remembering that there are people in Poland who need help, i.e. support for the weaker – he replied.
He added that there are “things that are extremely important from the point of view of liberals.” – This means focusing on good public services, i.e. public transport, education, health care. Besides, these are issues that speak well of the future: clean air, water and energy. This is a well-constructed program of 100 specifics, on which Poles will really earn – he argued.
As he said, in the KO program “there is no giving away, but there is a focus on entrepreneurship, work and solidarity”. – The difference between us is this PIS today it actually finances – apart from the huge debt – filling the budget with inflation, because inflation is rising and VAT revenue is higher. We want to lower inflation and focus on entrepreneurship, which PiS slaughtered, added Szłapka.
Szłapka: Trzaskowski is a natural candidate for president
Szłapka also talked about the role Rafał Trzaskowski, deputy chairman of PO, in the opposition camp. – The situation is clear: there is the leader of the Civic Platform, which is the largest opposition party, who is also the leader of the Civic Coalition and he is a natural candidate for prime minister. Rafał Trzaskowski received over 10 million votes in elections presidential elections and from my perspective, the chairman of Nowoczesna, he is a natural candidate for president in the upcoming presidential elections – he said.
– Rafał Trzaskowski is also the mayor of Warsaw, the largest city in Poland, and he will be really visible in this campaign. He will be at another rally this week, he announced. – Rafał Trzaskowski, (this) decisive thinking and showing that the future is important to us. Donald Tusk is to win these elections together with the entire Civic Coalition and has already proposed a plan for the first 100 days: specific solutions that we will introduce by the end of this year – said Szłapka.
