During the expiring term of the Sejm, the Left has submitted 230 bills, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, announced on Saturday at the Left’s convention. As he assessed, if they were implemented, Poland would be safe. The Left’s deputies also informed that they submitted over 36,000 interpellations, and their turnout in voting was close to 97 percent.

During the Saturday convention in Warsaw, the Left summed up its work in the Sejm over the last four years.

– 230 bills submitted by the Left. If these laws were introduced, Poland would be safe – said the deputy marshal of the Sejm, co-chairman of the New Left Vladimir Czarzasty.

Czarzasty to Kaczyński: tell people about social security

He also referred to PiS election slogan “Safe future of Poles” presented on Friday by the party’s president Jarosław Kaczyński.

– Sir, 1.8 million Poles live in extreme poverty, including 350,000 children. Extreme poverty is less than PLN 600 per person in the family, tell these people about the social security of families – Czarzasty addressed the PiS president.

The politician of the Left also pointed out that Poland lacks 1.5 million flats, 1.2 million flats do not have bathrooms, and 6.5 million flats do not have gas, and many flats do not have central heating. – Tell the Poles about housing security – Czarzasty appealed. As he pointed out, 13.8 million people in Poland have no access to public transport, and 300,000 bus connections have been canceled over the last six years.

Czarzasty noticed that Poles pay a lot for medicines. He presented a receipt for his medicines amounting to PLN 685.87. – This is the receipt that Poles pay for medicines – he stressed. He added that there are 500 geriatricians in Poland and there is one such doctor for every 20,000 Poles. Czarzasty also drew attention to, among other things, to the bad demographic situation in Poland, low teachers’ salaries or the lack of obtaining European funds for KPO.

Over 36,000 interpellations, over 40 notifications to the prosecutor’s office

Legislative director of the Left club, Dariusz Standerski, said that in the last four years, politicians from the Left have submitted over 36.5 thousand interpellations and submitted over 40 notifications to the prosecutor’s office about suspected crimes committed by PiS politicians. The vice-president of the New Left, Paulina Piechna-Więckiewicz, added that MPs from the Left gave 6,775 speeches from the Sejm rostrum, and the turnout of politicians from the Left in the voting was nearly 97 percent.
