Politics began to enter spheres where it absolutely should not exist. And if a woman says that politics does not concern her, and I have heard such voices, it is not true – emphasized actress Magdalena Boczarska in the “One on One” program on TVN24. She appealed to go to the polling stations on Sunday. – This may be one of the most important choices in our lives – she said.
Parliamentary elections will take place next Sunday, October 15. Poles will elect 460 deputies and 100 senators for a four-year term. The election campaign and referendum campaign will end on Friday, October 13. At midnight from Friday to Saturday, electoral and referendum silence will begin and will last until the end of voting on Sunday.
Boczarska: we could arrange this world our way
– Most women, especially young ones, are not interested in voting. If at least one person can be persuaded to do this, it will be a really valuable thing – said actress Magdalena Boczarska in “One to One”.
She pointed out that women have 52 percent of the electoral votes in Poland. – If we all went to vote, we could really arrange this world our way – she said.
The actress indicated that these would be the first elections after judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal on abortion from 2020. – Recent events have shown – hundreds of thousands of women and people on the streets – that the authorities do not back down from this. The authorities may retreat before the vote we cast at the polls, said Boczarska.
– Politics began to enter spheres where it absolutely should not exist. And if a woman says that politics does not concern her, and I have heard such voices, it is not true. Because politics tells us who we have the right to marry, what our children will learn in schools, what our lives should look like, what kind of air we breathe. Politics enters absolutely every sphere of our lives, argued Boczarska.
“This may be the most important choice of our lives”
As she said, many people don’t know who to vote for. – If we live somewhere and a bus does not go directly to our house, we take the one that takes us closest. Then let’s choose the candidate who is closest to what is dear to us, she appealed.
The actress encouraged people to go to the polling stations on Sunday. – This may be one of the most important choices in our lives – she said.
