Artur Dziambor, president of the Freedom Party, and Anna Maria Żukowska from the Left Club commented in the “#BezKitu Campaign” on TVN24 on the start of Law and Justice’s electoral lists, including Paweł Kukiz, Robert Bąkiewicz and Łukasz Mejzy. Żukowska said about Kukiz’s candidacy that “it is hard to believe that he allowed himself to be deceived throughout his entire term.” She added that she “admired his naivety.” Dziambor assessed that the current government “will be held accountable” for Mejza’s candidacy. He said that this “shows what the face of Law and Justice is.”

Artur Dziambor announced at the beginning of the program that he would run for the Senate in the Kashubian district, but not as part of the Senate pact.

Politicians discussed, among other things, some of the names on PiS’s electoral lists. The former president of the Independence March Association, Robert Bąkiewicz, and Łukasz Mejza, who was dismissed from the position of deputy minister, will be candidates from the lists of the ruling party.

“This shows what the face of this Law and Justice is like”

– Bąkiewicz did not surprise me, because he is probably looking for additional votes, but I am completely surprised by Mr. Mejza, who really did nothing to deserve re-election, he is only associated with bad things – said Anna Maria Żukowska from the Left.

She assessed that in this way the ruling party “is currently paying off the debt by giving him a place on the list” because he voted in the Sejm votes together with PiS. – I hope that the voters of Law and Justice also have this decency and will not simply elect him – she continued.

– I believe that politics is not necessarily a place for everyone and Mr. Mejza should not be on the list, especially not on the list of the party called Law and Justice, but this is their business, they will be held accountable for it. And I’m even very happy that they will be held accountable for it, because it also shows what the face of this Law and Justice is – said Artur Dziambor.

“It’s hard to believe that he allowed himself to be deceived throughout his entire term”

The program’s guests also commented on the fact that he was on the PiS list Paweł Kukiz, which will be number one in Opole. Earlier, Kukiz said that if the bill on justices of the peace was not passed by the end of the Sejm’s term, he would not run as a candidate from the ruling party. The act was not passed.

Żukowska said that “Paweł Kukiz did not receive either JOWs or justice of the peace.” – Generally speaking, it’s hard for me to believe that he allowed himself to be deceived throughout his entire term. If he really believed that Law and Justice would get it to him and would actually keep his word, then I admire his naivety, she added.

As the Left MP went on to say, it is “surprising” that Kukiz “wasn’t discouraged at all” by the fact that the bill on justices of the peace was not dealt with until the end of the Sejm term and “that despite everything it’s going down the drain.” In her opinion, Kukiz “truly betrayed all his promises that he made to voters.”

– He had very large social capital, he had 20 percent of… elections presidential elections (in 2015 – ed.), that is a lot. And he really squandered it, squandered the trust that people actually had in him as a person from outside the entire political system, she added. She also stated that “this shows that if someone is sometimes from outside the political system, he simply does not have the competence to be a politician.”

Problems of the education system. Low salaries of teachers “the biggest problem”

Later in the program, the situation of Polish education in the context of the beginning school year was discussed. This was one of the questions asked by representatives of the younger generation. They were asked by: Oliwia Górecka, representative of Dom Spokojnej Młodości, Jakub Marciniak from Młoda Polska, Jakub Szczygieł from Nowa Generacja and Stanisław Kostulski from Młody Razem.

The next guest of the program was Wioletta Krzyżanowska, principal of Primary School No. 323 in Warsaw. She said that the “biggest pain” was the low salaries of teachers.

She added that the education reform resulted in a “large departure from the profession of teachers”, mainly those working in junior high schools.

– Later, there was a teachers’ strike, which also had a very negative impact on the teachers’ psyche and their self-esteem. Then came the pandemic, where the teacher really had to face the huge challenge of teaching children online. And then some more war in Ukrainewhere the education of Ukrainian children and their inclusion in our Polish system rested on our shoulders – she enumerated.

– We, teachers, have really experienced so many difficult moments in recent years and only thanks to supporting ourselves, we somehow managed to get through it – said Krzyżanowska.
