The District Court in Lublin ruled that the Law and Justice election committee should stop providing false information and should publish a correction. In his application to the court, Nakoczny referred to Eurostat data on children at risk of poverty and social exclusion in the European Union. According to them, there were such children in Poland in 2015 – 26.8%, in 2016 – 23.5%, in 2017 – 17.8%, in 2018 – 16.9%, in 2019 – 16.2%. percent, in 2020 – 16.1 percent, in 2021 – 16.5 percent. and in 2022 – 16.7 percent.

“The District Court in Lublin also referred to these data. It pointed out that the EU average is 24.7%, and the Polish percentage of children at risk of poverty and exclusion is 16.7%, which gives the seventh place among 27 EU countries,” he writes hereinafter referred to as TOK FM portal.
The station’s website also writes that, according to the court, the data provided by Kaczyński “were false and fulfilled the provisions of Article 111, paragraph 1 of the Electoral Code.” This article addresses the spread of misinformation in election materials.
Judge Barbara Markowska, spokeswoman for the District Court in Lublin, told TOK FM that, in accordance with the court’s decision, the PiS election committee based in Warsaw “is to stop providing this false information, but is also to include a correction.” “The point is to correct the previously mentioned statement by Jarosław Kaczyński by publishing true data from Eurostat on the Onet website, within 48 hours of the judgment becoming final,” said judge Markowska, quoted by the radio station.
