The Polish People’s Party and Poland 2050 will go together to the parliamentary elections. A conference of the leaders of both groups – Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia – is scheduled for 1 pm.
“We voted unanimously to do so. It will, of course, still need approval by the national council, and the board unanimously made this decision. In a moment, together with President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, we will announce that we are joining a coalition with the Polish People’s Party, Szymon Hołownia informed in an interview with TVN24 reporter.
Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Thursday morning in “Rozmowo Piaseckiego” he said that talks with Poland 2050 “first were about the program, then political.” – The time we spent on this discussion was not wasted. We agreed on more things than I first thought. (…) I don’t think anyone is as prepared for the elections as we are at this stage, he said. He informed that together with Poland 2050 they would start as a coalition, i.e. to get to the Sejm, they would have to exceed the electoral threshold of 8 percent.
At 1 p.m., the group leaders will hold a joint press conference.
