It is not enough for Jarosław Kaczyński today to look into our bed, check which doctor treats us, what pills we take, what we talk about, because he eavesdrops on us with Pegasus. At the end Kaczyński still has to see how we will vote, and in this referendum he will be able to see it clearly – Robert Biedroń, co-chairman of the New Left, said on Tuesday in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24.

In mid-August, the Sejm adopted a resolution to order a nationwide referendum on October 15, i.e. on elections parliamentary. It will ask four questions: about the sale of state property, about raising the retirement age, about removing the barrier on the border with Belarus and for the relocation of migrants.

One of the leaders of the New Left was asked on Tuesday in “Kropka nad i” about the issue of the referendum Robert Biedron.

Biedroń: What Kaczyński is doing is a fraud

When asked what he would do with the referendum card on October 15, he replied that he would not take it because “what Kaczyński is doing is a fraud.” – This is an attempt to lead in the Orban style, because Orban made a similar maneuver to deceive us all, to steal our elections – said Biedroń.

According to him, “this is why Kaczyński changed the electoral law.” – There are many more polling stations today. There will be about 20,000 more electoral commissions just to control how we vote, so that Kaczyński can see how we vote over his shoulder – said the guest of “Dots over i”.

– It is not enough for Kaczyński to look into our bed today, check which doctor is treating us, what pills we are taking, what we are talking about, because he eavesdrops on us with Pegasus. Kaczyński still has to see how we will vote, and in this referendum he will be able to see it clearly – said Biedroń.

Biedroń: Let’s have the courage not to download these cards

Dozens of organizations signed a letter addressed to the National Electoral Commission with an appeal to include in the guidelines for precinct commissions “instructions regarding the right of voters to refuse to participate in the referendum”. According to the signers of the letter, this is to enable voters to “make an informed decision about voting”.

– Of course, this will not move the authorities, because a hand raised against PiS power will be cut off. And these organizations will certainly be blacklisted by Czarnek and others, they will not receive funding, they will be even more persecuted, tapped and spit on in the public media, that’s what awaits them – said Biedroń.

Asked if he would dare to tear up the referendum card, he replied: – I think that tearing it up is a step too far, just don’t take it.

– I appeal to all those who want a democratic Poland: let us have the courage not to take these cards. What Kaczyński fears the most in these elections is our courage and determination to do it. And he will see millions of Polish women and Poles on this list who have not collected cards – he said.

Robert Biedroń on the words of Jacek Czaputowicz

Robert Biedroń also referred to the words of the former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the PiS government, Jacek Czaputowicz, who warned on TVN24 that the upcoming elections “may be undermined”. It is about combining parliamentary elections with a referendum and the need to record which voter refused to accept the referendum card. According to Czaputowicz, this is a violation of the principle of secrecy of the vote.

– I have mixed feelings. The crocodile tears he’s shedding today over the fact that the election won’t be fair. I’m sorry, but Mr. Czaputowicz was the foreign minister for two and a half years. Somehow I didn’t see those crocodile tears when Kaczyński broke the law – commented Biedroń. He noted that “elections have not been equal for eight years.”

“It’s a witch hunt”

The Law and Justice Club reported nine people to the commission for examining Russian influenceno other parliamentary club put forward candidates, said the director of the Information Center of the Sejm. The act adopted in this matter is referred to as “lex Tusk”.

– This is a witch hunt, this is a spectacle that Kaczyński wanted to organize for this election – assessed Biedroń. He added that the Left, like the entire opposition, would not submit their candidates to this commission.
