Bąkiewicz assures that he will protect women, the Left recalls the incident from 2020

On Monday evening, Bąkiewicz declared in Polsat News that if he gets to the Sejm, he will fight for women’s rights. – At home I was taught great respect for women – he assured.

Left MP Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus referred to these words on Tuesday in the Sejm. – A man with fascist views, a man who does not respect the Jewish minority, yesterday also said in one of his television interviews that if he becomes an MP, he will protect women. Mr. Bąkiewicz has already shown us more than once how he protects women, she said.

– Let me remind you of the strikes (of women – ed.) in 2020. This is the face of Mr. Bąkiewicz, who protected a woman whom he put in such a situation that she was pushed and fell to the ground – said the MP, showing photos of the described events on the tablet.

Angelika Domańska – an activist who was injured by Bąkiewicz – also took part in the conference. – I was brutally taken out of the church. Then I was attacked by unknown perpetrators on the stairs and thrown down the stairs, she reported.

– I notified the prosecutor’s office. After about two months, the prosecutor discontinued the case due to the lack of public interest in prosecuting the perpetrator, who turned out to be Mr. Robert Bąkiewicz – she added.

Gliński asked about Bąkiewicz: you aggressively surrounded me while I was drinking coffee or tea

TVN24 reporter Artur Molęda tried on Tuesday to ask about Bąkiewicz, the Minister of Culture and Piotr Gliński, number one on the Warsaw PiS list.

– Do you have any moral doubts that this man should not be on your list? – the journalist asked the minister. – If you want to make a scandal now and disturb me in other activities… We did not have an appointment for a conversation – replied Gliński.

– But we can’t arrange an interview with you – replied the journalists.

– These are normal standards for the functioning of the media in a free country, and you are breaking them and aggressively surrounded me while I was drinking coffee or tea – replied the Minister of Culture.

A day earlier, in an interview with “Super Express”, Gliński stated that “Robert Bąkiewicz has been organizing very rational activities for some time.” – I don’t see anti-Semitism in this. If that were the case, he certainly wouldn’t be on our lists. In turn, the media are cautious in reporting that, for example, he helps refugees and is involved in other social issues. We do not divide people into those who can and cannot act using symbolic violence and arbitrary political exclusions, he said.
