Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Pomeranian Voivodeship on Saturday. In Waplewo Wielki, he met with seniors, whom he urged to remember life under the Civic Platform government. – They will present different versions of events and different programs, and promise golden mountains, and then these golden mountains will give birth to a mouse – said the head of the government.
On Friday, the leader of the Civic Platform met with the inhabitants of Włocławek and announced that we would soon learn 100 specifics for the first 100 days of rule after taking power. – It’s not about promising mountains of gold in Poland, it’s about restoring normality. The authorities are to be efficient, modest and held accountable by people, stressed Donald Tusk.
On Saturday, the Civic Coalition collected signatures for the lists of candidates. In Szczecin, the bazaar was attended, among others, by the Marshal of the Senate Tomasz Grodzki and the head of the Civic Coalition club Borys Budka. The place was not accidental. The politicians referred to the Central Statistical Office data published a few days ago, which show that the GDP in Poland in the second quarter of this year decreased by almost four percent compared to the first quarter.

At Saturday’s meeting, Prime Minister Morawiecki admitted that the price increase was a problem, but he was not critical of the government’s actions. – Inflation is a problem for every retirement home, every Polish home – said the head of the government, but at the same time he assured that “the net increase in pensions, counted in total of 13 and 14 net, far exceeds inflation”.
The president of the Polish People’s Party, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, also spoke on Saturday about the situation of pensioners. – Retirement is taxed, contributory. Our demand for a pension without tax and contributions, as a civic project, has not been considered in this term of office – he pointed out.

In turn, the Left, during the Saturday convention in Warsaw, summed up four years of work in the Sejm. On the occasion, Włodzimierz Czarzasty referred to the election slogan of Law and Justice, “Safe Future of Poles”. – One million 800,000 Poles live in extreme poverty, including 350,000 children. Third Way also fought for votes on Saturday. Szymon Hołownia is to run from Białystok, but he was in Warsaw and helped collect signatures for the lists of candidates.
Candidates have more than two weeks to collect signatures. The deadline for submitting lists to the PKW expires on September 6.
