For the last eight years, Law and Justice has been building an alternative civil society – said Krzysztof Śmiszek from the Left Club in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. He referred to the fact that the vice-president of the Megafon foundation, Tomasz Piesiecki, is running from the PiS list in Podlasie. This foundation received millions from Minister Przemysław Czarnek for the purchase of real estate. Michał Szczerba from the Civic Coalition added that “all these political circles, these foundations that are linked to PiS, have resources that show that the elections are unequal.”

The Megafon Foundation received PLN 4.5 million from the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, for the purchase of real estate. However, it is still based in the private apartment of a director in the Chancellery of the President and a member of the supervisory board of state-owned Enea. Megafon was supposed to “support the education system”, but for now its vice-president is running for the Sejm from the PiS list. Banners with the foundation’s logo and a photo of Tomasz Piesiecki were hung a few weeks ago in various places in Podlasie.

The matter was discussed in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 by Krzysztof Śmiszek from the Left Club and Michał Szczerba from the Civic Coalition.

– This case is very similar to the case of Bąkiewicz, who was financed and de facto raised by PiS from the Patriotic Fund, to the case (Paweł) Kukiz, who received over 4 million for his foundation. And now (there is – ed.) the Megafon foundation and the vice-president, who turns out to be the PiS candidate, and his foundation previously donated PLN 4.5 million.

– This is the allegation of inequality elections, because all these political circles, these foundations that are linked to PiS, have resources that show that the elections are unequal. One thing we can promise our viewers today is, first of all, that each of these subsidies will be accounted for, every zloty that may be spent on the campaign will be returned, and these people will be held accountable – he continued.

Śmiszek: PiS is building an alternative civil society

Krzysztof Śmiszek said that “for the last eight years Law and Justice builds an alternative civil society. They establish foundations, foundations, associations, organizations. So that when the president calls for an appeal, all those who have pockets full of public money will stand behind President Kaczyński and say: “yes, we support this man, Law and Justice is the best party in the world.”

– They grew all these supporters, all these acolytes. They build organizations that do not actually exist or do not conduct this type of activities (…). It is very clear today that the president (PiS – ed.) has lost public hearing because he thinks that people buy such kits – continued the MP from the Left Club.

“Today the state is treated like a private business”

The program’s guests also commented on Tuesday’s reports by “Gazeta Wyborcza”. The daily obtained the “Wdówik’s list”, i.e. a list of purchases requested by the government plenipotentiary for disabled people, Paweł Wdówik. However, the method of purchasing this equipment is controversial.

“Without order and composition”, “numbers from space”. “Widow’s List” and the government rental service for people with disabilities

Michał Szczerba said that this case was “dramatic”. – Mr. Wdówik, according to what Judyta Watoła from “Wyborcza” reported to us today, made a list of purchases that were made urgently, expressly, by the Government Agency (RARS, Government Agency of Strategic Reserves – ed.). These are hearing aids costing over PLN 10,000 each. These are wheelchairs costing over PLN 60,000 each. Nobody knows where this rental place is. No one knows whether this equipment was needed or not. In particular, people with disabilities were not consulted on this type of purchases, he commented.

Krzysztof Śmiszek said that “it is very clear today that the state is treated like a private business.” – This scandal with Minister Wdówik is one of many such things that the public opinion will learn about, and which the public opinion will learn more about when we will be able to settle it all – he added.

At the same time, he said that investigators would not act in this type of cases because “the prosecutor’s office today is established for one thing: to protect the interests, not only financial, but political, of one party.” – Ziobro turned the prosecutor’s office into an armed arm, an armed tool to protect his interests – he added.
