Włodzimierz Czarzasty, co-chairman of the New Left, said in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 that Sunday’s elections were “a plebiscite in favor of a specific system of values.” – Everything that happened in Poland proves one thing: evil is gone, good will come – he added. He also stated that now the president “should simply authorize a person from the opposition to form the government.”
At the beginning of the program, Włodzimierz Czarzasty was asked about the election result Łukasz Litewka – a local activist who, starting from last place on the New Left lists in the same district as Czarzasty, obtained a better result than him.
The co-chairman of the New Left said that the Lithuanian is a “special boy, a unique man.” Asked if he congratulated him, Czarzasty replied: – Sure, we talked today, we agreed to meet next Monday in Sosnowiec, he did a great job.
The guest of “Kropka nad i” was asked whether he was worried about his election result and whether it would allow him to get into the Sejm. – I’m always nervous, it’s like a normal thing. When I’m fighting for something, I get nervous. I’m happy when I win together with my friends, he said.
Czarzasty: the president should simply authorize a person from the opposition to form the government
Włodzimierz Czarzasty said that after the elections, the president “should simply authorize a person from the opposition to form a government.” – Will he do it? In my opinion, no, because I think he will make a last gesture towards PiS, appoint Mr. Morawiecki or someone from PiS as prime minister. This person will not form a government because this government will not be approved by the Sejm. And I think that the president will then tell them: “well, I gave you a chance, you didn’t do it,” he said.
At the same time, he assessed that the president would give PiS time to “clean out its drawers.” – I am sure that it is time to clean the drawers, that it is time to destroy traces of various filth, because I am convinced of this filth, I am really convinced of it – Czarzasty continued.
Czarzasty: this will be a time of responsible reckoning
According to the co-chairman of the New Left, the parliamentary elections were a “plebiscite in favor of a specific system of values.” As he pointed out, “the power has changed in people’s heads.” – Everything that happened in Poland proves one thing: evil is gone, good will come. I hope it will be a good thing, he added.
– We opted for democracy, that is, for the government to be supported by the people, for the government to manage our country democratically. We stood for the European Union, we stood for tolerance, we stood for normality, we stood for normal international relations, including with Ukraine, he added.
– I think this will be a time for responsible reckoning – he added. He also noted that “those who voted for PiS must see that on the other side there are reasonable people who do not want to take revenge on them, who recognize them.”
