We are absolutely focused on building an alliance with the Polish People’s Party, said the leader of Poland 2050 Szymon Hołownia in “Fakty po Faktach”. He added that “the coalition is open”, because talks with local government officials are underway. – The representation of the local government in the future parliament should be so strong in the face of PiS’s desire to centralize Poland (…) that we want to share our place – he explained. Hołownia also stated that his formation and PSL pledge “to form a government with democratic opposition groups.”

Polish People’s Party and Poland 2050 will go together to the parliamentary elections. The leaders of these groups Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia, announced it at a joint Thursday conference. The leader of Poland 2050 then called this coalition “the third way in politics”.

Hołownia said later that day on “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 that this “third way” is “something that gives a choice to the people I and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz meet practically every week in Poland who say: we suffocate in polarization, we want a third way.”

He made a reservation that this did not rule out future cooperation with other groups. – We also say very clearly, and it was in this agreement that we concluded, that we commit ourselves after the elections to form a government with democratic opposition groups – he declared. According to him, “this is not any symmetry, it is the choice of a third way, of letting air into Polish politics.”

Hołownia: there must be an antidote, an antidote

– Today we are absolutely focused on building this alliance with the Polish People’s Party – announced Hołownia. He added that the coalition was “open”. – Because we are waiting for local government officials, we are talking to them – he explained.

– We believe that this representation of the local government in the future parliament should be so strong in the face of this desire PIS to centralize Poland – there must be an antidote, an antidote – that we want to share our place, our space with representatives of local Poland – he added.
