KO MPs Michał Szczerba and Dariusz Joński provided further information about the “competition held just before the elections” by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. – We talked about the names Szumowski and Obajtek, but another name also appears among the materials, there are names associated with Mateusz Morawecki – they said.
KO’s afterword Dariusz Joński and Michał Szczerba on Thursday after an inspection at the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development they talked about companies that were to receive subsidies in the competition worth PLN 1.8 billion. The list includes, among others, a company whose president is the brother of the former Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowskiand a company related to the president of Orlen, Daniel Obajtek.
Szczerba: another name appears among the materials
On Friday, they announced new arrangements. – We are constantly monitoring the competition, which was decided just before elections – October 13 – Szczerba reminded.
He said there are more “projects that raise reasonable doubts.” – We talked about the names Szumowski and Obajtek, but another name also appears among the materials, there are names associated with Mateusz Morawecki.
– One of the companies, considered to be part of the “Lower Silesian system”, received a subsidy of PLN 3.5 million. Do you remember the advertising campaign he launched? Mateusz Morawiecki – “Stop Russia Now”. It involved cars with billboards driving around various European countries after the Russian aggression in Ukraine. They informed about the consequences and encouraged sanctions. This is the entity that implemented Morawiecki’s campaign.
“We call this PiS’s latest subsidy push”
– There is no coincidence. Mr. Joński and I call it the last leap PIS for subsidies. Everything indicates that this happened in a very non-transparent way. At the same time, with the lack of information for other entrepreneurs, honest entrepreneurs who have not yet even received the scores for their projects, do not know what possible mistakes they have made – added the MP.
He said that together with Joński, they appealed to the PARP authorities to “immediately publish on the website full data also related to which individual projects received scores.”
– We gave the PARP management a few hours to think and reflect. If you do not publish the results of the competition taking into account the scores received by the projects, you and I will probably decide to publish the data ourselves, he said.
He also announced that he and Joński would return to PARP next week, on Tuesday, for another inspection.
