On Saturday evening, a gyroplane crashed in Puck County. The pilot sustained minor injuries. The causes of the incident will be investigated by the State Commission for Aircraft Accident Investigation.
A dangerous incident involving a gyroplane took place on Saturday evening in Parszczyce (Pomeranian Voivodeship). As reported by firefighters from the OSP in Sławoszyn, according to the reporting party, the machine allegedly hit a power pole.
Firefighters from Krokowa and Puck, as well as rescuers from the Władysławowo Emergency Medical Services, the LPR helicopter and the police also participated in the rescue operation.
– Our tasks were to provide qualified first aid to the injured person, secure the scene of the accident, secure the landing of the LPR helicopter, and remove spilled operating fluids – say firefighters from Krokowa.
Accident during landing
A 70-year-old man was injured in the accident, but – as reported by the services – his life is not in danger. He was conscious after the incident and there was no need to hospitalize him. As reported by the press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Puck, Senior Sergeant Joanna Samula-Gregorczyk, the police officers working on the scene determined that the overturning and damage to the gyroplane occurred during the landing maneuver.
The State Commission on Aircraft Accident Investigation was informed about the incident.
