Paulin Matysiak, defendant: “Due to the activities of the MP, open support for one of the parties to the dispute, and above all, in connection with the statements of MP Paulina Matysiak and her attacks on our company and her good name, we are forced to take legal action. We have just filed a lawsuit against her for violating our personal rights,” Newag informed.

What happened to Matysiak? “What broke the camel's back and confirmed our belief that we had no choice was her behavior at the recent meeting of the Infrastructure Committee, and then in the plenary hall of the Sejm” – I'm writing hereinafter referred to as the company. This concerns the MP bringing a lawyer associated with SPS Mieczkowski, with whom Newag has a “business dispute”. The company believes that, taking advantage of the authority of the Sejm, the MP gave SPS Mieczkowski a forum to “present her subjective position.” “This is even more surprising because of the function he performs it should be completely independent and very careful in formulating opinions and judgments,” it added.

What is the dispute about? The whole confusion concerns irregularities detected in Impuls trains, manufactured by Newag. They suffered from failures when sent for periodic servicing. Typically, when run by companies competing with Newag, the trains could not be started later. The SPS Mieczkowski company, which repairs electric multiple units, and the Dragon Sector hacker group accused the manufacturer of including software in the trains that disabled them. Regional Prosecutor's Office in Krakow is investigating this matter.

Newag clearly: “The dispute is so deep that it even concerns whether the trains actually stop. Both the course itself and all the circumstances and causes of these incidents are unclear and undetermined,” Newag writes in the release. “In every dispute of this type, the parties have a completely different perspective and they interpret its course completely differently. This is normal – otherwise there would be no dispute,” he adds.
