Even 10 years in prison threatens a 30-year-old man who allegedly attacked and beat a paramedic in Pawłów (Lubelskie Voivodeship). The man also allegedly threatened the doctor with death. He heard the charges and will spend the next three months in custody.

According to Commissioner Ewa Czyż, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Chełm, the incident took place in Pawłów, where two people were hit by a car on the night from Saturday to Sunday. Medical assistance to the victims was provided by the ambulance crew.

It was established that one of the paramedics was attacked and beaten by a person who was standing nearby, watching and commenting on the situation. – The attacker also threatened to deprive him of his life – Czyż reported. And she added that the victim filed a notification on the same day.

Uniforms detained a 30-year-old resident of Chełm. – He explained his behavior by drinking alcohol and nervousness, because the men hit by the car had previously been guests at his birthday party – the police officer said.

The 30-year-old was charged with assaulting a public official and making threats to kill. The District Court in Krasnystaw decided to pre-trial detention.

Assaulting a public official is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
