– I am making my further voting with Law and Justice dependent on whether PiS will pass the law on justices of the peace and the law on weapons and ammunition by the end of this year, said Paweł Kukiz, the leader of the Kukiz’15 parliamentary group. – If these two bills are not adopted, there will be no joint vote by my circle with Law and Justice, most certainly – he stressed. As he added, “it is not blackmail, but a contract”.

Paweł Kukizasked on Radio Wnet about the future of his cooperation with the United Right camp in this and the next parliamentary term, he said that further cooperation depends on the adoption of the acts he enforces: in this term of office the act establishing the institution of justices of the peace and the amendment to the act on weapons and ammunition, liberalizing access to firearms.

– I am making my further voting with Law and Justice dependent on whether PiS will pass the law on justices of the peace and the law on weapons and ammunition by the end of this year at the latest, Kukiz said. He said “these are two conditions” he presented at his last meeting with United Right leadership. – If these two bills are not adopted, there will be no joint vote by my circle with Law and Justice, most certainly – he stressed. As he added, “it is not blackmail, but a contract”.

The MP also assessed that it was necessary to amend the act on local referendums so that the turnout required for the validity of the referendum would be reduced so that “, for example, a drunk mayor could be dismissed”. He stressed that this issue, along with the change of the electoral law to a mixed system, would be resolved in the next term of office of the Sejm.

Kukiz: I don’t know if I will run in the next parliamentary elections

Kukiz added that he did not know whether he would run in the next parliamentary elections, and if so – whether he would run together with PiS or, for example, with some other party. He stressed that in order to run together with the current ruling party, PiS must “fulfill its current obligations” towards him and include its demands in the program.

Asked whether it is necessary to “unfreeze” the matter of appointing a parliamentary investigative committee on Pegasus surveillance, Kukiz replied that he would definitely not try to unfreeze his motion in this matter, but if it comes to voting, he will vote for the commission. He noted, however, that he did not know how the other members of his circle would vote.
