The police are investigating the circumstances of an accident involving a six-year-old who was hit in Pionki near Radom. The boy rode his bicycle from the parking lot onto the road and was hit by the driver of a passenger car. The child was taken to hospital.

The accident occurred last Monday on Bohaterów Studzianek Street in Pionki.

– According to preliminary findings, a 42-year-old driver of an Opel vehicle collided with a child riding a bicycle who entered the road from the parking lot. The man was sober. A six-year-old boy was taken to hospital. Police officers from the Pionki Police Station are investigating this incident, said Justyna Jaśkiewicz from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom.

Jaśkiewicz also appealed to “all road users to respect applicable regulations, caution and caution.” – Road safety is our common cause. An appeal is also addressed to parents to remember about the safety of their children, who are much more active outdoors, especially during the holidays, she concluded.
