Tomasz Siemoniak, coordinator of secret services, speaking in “Tak jest” on TVN24 about the Pegasus surveillance, pointed out that “a whole lot of people from PiS are associated with this case.” – Both as perpetrators or contributors to it, and also as people who were under surveillance – he specified. – In what sequence the prosecutor's office will summon these people is a completely different matter – he added.

On Friday, spokesman for the National Prosecutor's Office, Przemysław Nowak, confirmed to the tvn24.pl editorial team that Marek Suski is one of 31 people who received a notice of being summoned for questioning in this case. “The call does not mean that he was wiretapped. It is the subject of an investigation,” Nowak said.

Suski himself, later asked by journalists whether he was under surveillance, replied that he did not know. Maciej Wąsik, former deputy minister of internal affairs and administration, also said on Saturday that he did not know that Suski would be under surveillance.

Siemoniak: A lot of people from PiS are associated with this matter

Special services coordinator Tomasz Siemoniak (Civic Coalition) spoke more about the case on Monday in the “Tak jest” program on TVN24.

– I don't want to speculate on this. The fact is this – Mr. Marek Suski, as confirmed by the prosecutor, was summoned to the prosecutor's office in this investigation. And that's it, we'll see. Let's give the prosecutor the opportunity to speak and plan further actions, he appealed. – Let Marek Suski go on the scheduled date, the prosecutor's questions will certainly be important to him and he will be able to say something about it if he wants – he added.

Siemoniak was asked whether, according to his knowledge, someone else from Law and Justice could have been so closely connected with this case that he also received or may receive a letter from the prosecutor's office. He replied in the affirmative, but did not provide any specific number of people who would be affected. – There are certainly many people from PiS involved in this case, either as perpetrators or contributors, and also as people who were under surveillance. In what sequence the prosecutor's office will summon these people is a completely different matter, he said.

When asked whether these were people associated with Mateusz Morawiecki's government, he again did not want to answer clearly. However, he added that these were “significant people”. – So these are not PiS councilors, but rather people who are publicly known – he added.
