As the portal “The Guardian”, which informs about the purchase of Weta Digital, emphasizes, the transaction is another economic blow to the New Zealand film and series market. Just three months ago, Amazon Studios decided to transfer from this country the set of the series “The Lord of the Rings” based on the work of JRR Tolkien. Only the first season of this most expensive production in history will be filmed in New Zealand. The next ones will be built in Great Britain.
