Police officers from Piaseczno near Warsaw detained a man who was breaking into apartments, shops and cars. They put handcuffs on his hands while he was at work. – I stole for adrenaline – he admitted to the police. He was charged with 11 charges.
At the beginning of December 2024, a series of burglaries and thefts occurred on Karolinki Street in Piaseczno. More victims began to report to the District Police Headquarters in Piaseczno, describing various incidents.
– There was a burglary in one of the houses, where clothes and power tools worth a total of nearly PLN 7,000 were stolen. Moreover, an Opel Astra worth PLN 40,000 also disappeared from the same property. Among other things, a bicycle, laptops, car keys, power tools, a sports bag and batteries were stolen from other properties – said Magdalena Gąsowska, spokeswoman for the District Police Headquarters in Piaseczno.

The police came to his workplace
The case was handled by officers of the criminal department responsible for the search. Thanks to the analysis of materials, including recordings from surveillance cameras, the suspect was identified. The police found out that he lives in Piaseczno and works in Bemowo, Warsaw.
On Wednesday, detectives from Piaseczno appeared at the workplace of a 41-year-old man. – He was clearly surprised by their visit, as if he did not expect that his actions would be linked and that anyone would follow him – said the spokeswoman.
During the interrogation, it turned out that the man had committed more crimes than initially suspected.
The 41-year-old admitted that he “stealed for adrenaline”
– The police found out that, apart from breaking into houses and cars, the man broke into shop display cases twice in the shopping center at Puławska Street in Piaseczno. He stole a total of 18 mobile phones, causing losses of nearly PLN 24,000. The 41-year-old was charged with as many as 11 criminal charges, and because he acted in a multi-recidivism situation, he faces a severe penalty – up to 15 years in prison – said Magdalena Gąsowska. – During a conversation with the police, the 41-year-old explained that he was stealing for adrenaline – she added.
The stolen items were returned to their owners. The only thing that could not be recovered was the phones that the 41-year-old sold to random people right after the theft.
