Police officers from Piaseczno detained a driver who was driving a car in poor technical condition. The driver was not bothered by the broken window and black smoke coming from the vehicle.
– It is unacceptable to have a situation in which the driver is aware that his car, in its technical condition, should not be on a public road, and yet he gets behind the wheel and sets off – says Magdalena Gąsowska, spokeswoman for the Piaseczno police.
He adds that this was the case with a 54-year-old resident of the Grójec district, who was traveling on the S7 national road in a Peugeot “in a bad condition”. The car, the so-called “Cinderella”, had a broken window and could barely drive.
– When stopped for a road check, he was unable to explain either why he did not use seat belts while driving or why he used a vehicle in such a technical condition – informs the spokeswoman.
– The driver received a driving ban, a fine of PLN 3,100 and eight points, as well as a reminder that compliance with applicable road regulations and taking care of one's own safety should be a priority – he adds.
