Police officers from Piaseczno detained a man who exceeded the speed limit almost twice in a built-up area. He was fined heavily and lost his driving license.
– Some drivers think that once they pass a police patrol, they are no longer obliged to follow the regulations. The driver of the Audi realized how wrong this thinking is, says Magdalena Gąsowska, spokeswoman for the Piaseczno police.
The man was stopped for a road check in Piaseczno on Orężna Street, where the speed limit is 50 km/h. However, the driver was driving more than twice as fast – his speed was 115 km/h. A moment earlier he had passed a police car and then he started to accelerate.
He returned home without a driving license
– Ultimately, he lost his driving license for the next three months, and he returned home with a fine of PLN 2,500 and 15 penalty points – informs the policewoman.
He adds: – Let's remember that there is no room for recklessness on the road. Let's take care of safety every day, not only where we see a police patrol.
