The police in Piaseczno reported that the officers of the riot department were carrying out tasks in the poviat and detained the Opel driver for inspection during the service. – The reason was that the driver ignored the traffic regulations. One could say that the banal intervention had an unexpected end. It turned out that the 24-year-old driver of the vehicle had drugs with him – reports Magdalena Gąsowska from the District Police Headquarters in Piaseczno.
As he describes, the found substance was tested. – The tester showed that it is amphetamine – informs the policewoman. The driver was detained and placed in police custody.
The passenger was wanted by the German police
When the police identified the 24-year-old sitting in the passenger seat, it turned out that the German police were looking for him for “legal actions”. The man received a summons from the policemen obliging him to appear before the German side. – He would probably not have been aware of such a visit to our western neighbors for a long time, if not for the Schengen information system – emphasizes Gąsowska.
And he explains that it is the largest database in Europe that processes the legally defined categories of people and objects sought in the Schengen countries. – The uniqueness of this system is based both on the huge territorial range and the information it contains. Thanks to it, the flow of information is much faster and effective, which is best evidenced by the described road control – he adds.
