Rainbow flags on the streets of Piaseczno. On Saturday, several hundred people took part in the first city Equality March.

The event started at 2 pm on Piłsudski Square. “We are counting on a real rainbow holiday, that even here in Piaseczno, a show of equality can be something normal and we will not keep quiet or stand up for our LGBTQIAP+ rights, because everyone has the right to be themselves!!” – wrote the organizers in the announcement of the event.

“We invite everyone without hatred, without violence, but with love and tolerance” – they added.

A week before the parade in Warsaw

The participants of the march walked along the following streets: Tadeusza Kościuszki – Henryka Sienkiewicza – Dworcowa – Jana Pawła II – Puławska and returned to Piłsudski Square. They had rainbow flags with them. The organizer of the event was “Tęczowe Piaseczno”.

Next week – on June 17 – the Equality Parade will pass through the streets of the capital. The organizers have not yet announced the route of the march. “We are working intensively on the final details,” they wrote on Saturday.

The town starts at 11am and will also run during and after the parade. “People who will not have the strength to complete the entire march can return to the town, where they will be able to rest in a friendly atmosphere at all times.
