The driver of the Mercedes, driving through the roundabout, “lost” his passenger. All because of the unhealthy belts and a closed door. This story could end tragically.
On Tuesday, police officers of the Piaseczno road, received a notification about a pedestrian hit, which was to take place at the roundabout at Nadrzeczna Street in Jabłonowo. However, it turned out that there was no deduction.
The officers determined that the 39-year-old head of Mercedes, driving through a roundabout, “lost” his passenger and this is unfortunately not a joke. “It happened because a 38 -year -old woman, sitting on the passenger's seat, did not have a seat belt and, what's more, she did not close the door of the car. During the maneuver the door suddenly opened, and the passenger fell out of the car straight on the road” – she described st. asp. Magdalena Gąsowska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piaseczno.
A woman did nothing serious to her.
Policemen remind you how important the belts are
Policemen published a recording from a surveillance camera. They reminded that Article 39 of the Road Traffic Law states that “the driver of a motor vehicle and a person transported with such a vehicle equipped with seat belts are obliged to use these lanes while driving.”
“The event at the roundabout in Jabłonów is a lesson for all of us. Even if the story seems to be a bit funny, its moral is serious: a moment of inattention, lack of fastened belts or a closed door can lead to a situation whose effects could be tragic. So we call for use From the seat belts, regardless of whether we go as a driver or as a passenger, “the policewoman emphasized.
Lack of fastened belts increases the risk of serious injuries not only during the accident, but even during a small collision or rapid braking. “Hence, we should absolutely fasten them, and transport younger children in safety seats or other holding devices” – summed up police from Piaseczno.
