Piotr Bratkowski, poet, literary critic and journalist, died at the age of 66. He made his debut in the literary press in 1975. He worked in “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Rzeczpospolita”, and for the last several years in “Newsweek Polska”. He was 66 years old.

Piotr Bratkowski is dead
Piotr Bratkowski was born in Warsaw in 1955. He was the son of Jan Bratkowski, an actor, and Anna, née Karczewska. He was a writer, poet, literary critic, publicist, juror of the Nike Literary Award. He made his debut in the literary press in 1975. He has published several books and was a laureate of the Stanisław Wyspiański. In 2010, he was awarded the Pikowy Laurel – the award for the best press publications on books. He mostly wrote about pop culture and books.

Piotruś was a good spirit of Newsweek, an outstanding author, writer and humanist. Someone without whom it is difficult to imagine both the magazine and the editorial office.
