I dismissed Mr. Piotr Patkowski from the position of President of the Polish Audit Oversight Agency – announced the Minister of Finance, Andrzej Domański, on Friday.
“Mr. Patkowski does not have the competences necessary to perform such an important function for the Polish economy,” wrote the head of the Ministry of Finance on social media.
Piotr Patkowski is a former deputy minister of finance. He was the president of PANA from mid-November.
Who is Piotr Patkowski
Piotr Patkowski is a law graduate at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and postgraduate studies in public procurement law at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration diploma.
The Polish Audit Oversight Agency exercises independent supervision over statutory auditors, audit firms and the professional self-government of statutory auditors.
Ensures that statutory auditors properly conduct audits of financial statements and provide assurance services other than statutory audits and related services.
