A 41-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision with a passenger car on the night from Sunday to Monday on the provincial road number 836 in Piotrków Pierwszy (Lubelskie Voivodeship). One of the people in the car was injured.
The duty officer of the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Lublin informed that a fatal accident on the provincial road 836 in Piotrków Pierwszy (municipality of Jabłonna) took place on Sunday (June 18) after 10 pm.
The 41-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene, he said. A 26-year-old woman in the car was also injured.
– Four people traveled by car, including two children – said the duty officer of the State Fire Brigade in Lublin. The fire brigade, ambulance and police intervened on the spot, he said, and they are investigating the cause of the accident.
The motorcyclist was driving without lights and licenses
According to the preliminary findings of the police officers working on the spot, the 41-year-old driver of a cross motorcycle suddenly veered into the opposite lane, where he collided head-on with a Hyundai coming from the opposite direction.
The 25-year-old driver of the passenger car was sober.
By the prosecutor’s decision, the man’s body was secured for autopsy. “Preliminary findings indicate that he was moving without the required lighting, and the vehicle was not allowed to move. In addition, the man did not have category A licenses” – the police said.
