A tragic accident in Piotrkowice, in the Grodzisk poviat. The cyclist was hit by a passenger car driver. According to the fire brigade, the man died as a result of his injuries and the driver left the scene.
Information about the fatal accident was provided by tvnwarszawa.pl reporter Tomasz Zieliński. – On the provincial road number 876 in Piotrkowice, between Mszczonów and Tarczyn, a passenger car driver fatally hit a cyclist and drove away – informed Zieliński.
Our reporter’s findings were confirmed by the fire brigade from Grodzisk Mazowiecki. – At 19.36, the report about the hitting of a pedestrian by a passenger car was received at the command post. The content of the report indicated that the perpetrator had fled the scene. On the other hand, the injured person is unconscious and is not breathing, said Krzysztof Stefaniak, press officer of the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. A total of five fire brigades were ordered to the site.
As Stefaniak continued, after reaching the site, the firefighters found an unconscious cyclist lying on the road. – A bystander performed CPR on the spot. The actions of firefighters consisted of securing the scene and continuing resuscitation. After the medical rescue team arrived at the site, the rescue operation was continued by the rescuers, the fireman said. Despite the activities carried out, it was not possible to restore the vital functions of the injured man.
The provincial road number 876 is blocked. Police are underway on the spot.
