PiS nominates in Neo-KRS can boast of record earnings. “Piggy bank for yours”

Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar spreads his hands, commenting on the matter of gigantic money for Julia Przyłębska. – We can morally assess it in various ways, but there is probably no legal means to prevent it – admits the minister.

It is not only about over PLN 250,000, which Julia Przyłębska got, leaving the Constitutional Tribunal, but above all about the equivalent for unused vacation. “Gazeta Wyborcza” quotes the office of the Constitutional Tribunal and writes that Przyłębska has been paid over PLN 74,000 for 37 days of unused vacation.

– It turned out that Julia Przyłębska is an hypocrisy and false man – says Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, senator of the Civic Coalition.

The strong words of the Senator of the Civic Coalition result from what Przyłębska said years ago. The former president of the Constitutional Tribunal criticized judges for similar actions. She claimed that this was a significant problem to talk about him in the Sejm. – It was the custom of the judges to accumulate holiday leave, and then paying high cash equivalents – she pointed out in 2019 from the parliamentary rostrum.

This is why Przyłębska decided to send judge Stanisław Biernat eight years ago. Although in fact – under the guise of using vacation – she got rid of the judge's tribunal, who was very unfavorable to her at the time.

– This is one of the unpleasant examples for the degradation of the Tribunal and to deprive him of any authority and respect in society – believes the former vice president of the Constitutional Tribunal. – We do not have the Constitutional Tribunal that would act in accordance with the constitution – says Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar.

Money for PiS nominees still arouse great emotions. Judge Bartłomiej Starosta calculated something else – Earnings in Neo -KRS are record -breaking.

The record holder is Anna Dalkowska, who earned almost 260,000 last year. Judges Rafał Puchalski, Stanisław Zdun and Dagmara Pawełczyk-Woick are also in the lead. Everyone was once promoted by PiS. These are only amounts for work in the National Court Register, regardless of the judicial salary.

– Counting from the beginning of this illegal body, the Neo-KRS, it can be assumed that some members of this body have already earned about a million zlotys on the diets themselves- indicates Bartłomiej Starosta, judge of the District Court in Sulęcin, a member of the Polish Judges Association “Iustitia”.

The KRS office writes that the amount of the diet regulates the law, but its total height “depends on the attendance and commitment of a member of the Council in her work.”

– As we can see, the National Court Register is not only a political tool for choosing political judges, but also a piggy bank for their own – comments Paweł Śliz, Polish MP 2050 -way.

In the budget for this year, the Sejm cut money for payments for the judges of the Tribunal and judges sitting on Neo-KRS. – On what basis should we finance them as a state budget if they do not meet the basic constitutional requirements? – notes Magdalena Biejat, deputy marshal of the Senate.

The president signed the budget, but directed him to the Tribunal. There is still no date when the judges take care of it. Despite the changes in the budget, Neo-KRS is still paying his diet members.
