It was a very bad year for the Polish economy, society, budget and investments, said PiS vice-president Mateusz Morawiecki at the conference, commenting on the past year of activity of Donald Tusk's cabinet. Another vice-president of this party, Mariusz Błaszczak, argued that we are dealing with high prices, a slowdown in investment and omissions in the area of security.

Vice-president of the group and former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki he assessed that it was “a very bad year for the Polish economy, society, budget and investments.” – It is clear that they cannot manage public finances. “There are no promises fulfilled there”

Morawiecki criticized adopted budget for 2025. – There are no promises fulfilled, there is no PLN 60,000 tax-free allowance, there are no student dorms for PLN 1, there is no zero VAT on public transport, there is no program for 300,000 municipal apartments – he mentioned.

Moreover, according to him, “we are dealing with terrible prices” and this year's Christmas “will be the most expensive holiday ever.” – People are starting to tighten their belts. This is visible in consumption, but not only. Private investments are on the decline, state investments are also on the decline – said the politician PIS.

Błaszczak: there are many omissions in the field of security

Vice-president of PiS and former head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak among other things, he talked about “prices”. – The symbol of this high price is butter for a tenner – he said.

He further claimed that, in his opinion, the symbol of the “inhibition of investment” is the inhibition of the investment of the Central Communication Port.

Błaszczak also pointed to the area of health care, where, in his opinion, there is a “collapse”. – The queues to doctors are getting longer. There is closure of departments in hospitals. There is underinvestment and underfinancing of the health service, he said.

He also referred to the issue of security. – This is an area I have been dealing with for recent years. And here I would like to emphasize very strongly that, contrary to government propaganda, there are many omissions in this area. There are many arguments proving that the December 13 coalition government is unable to govern, he said. In this context, he said that the budget of the Ministry of National Defense for 2024 “will not be fully used.”

– Spending (on defense) will fall below four percent of GDP. In a situation where there is a war going on behind our eastern border, the processes initiated by PiS must be continued to deter the aggressor, to Polish army was strong for Poland to be safe, he said.

Błaszczak also said that the government had not signed executive agreements regarding the acquisition of important weapons for the army. – There is still no contract to acquire 500 HIMARS launchers, and there is no contract to acquire further K2 tanks with production in our country. There is no contract to obtain orders for Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles, Błaszczak said.

What about “crime chronicle”

On the other hand Patryk JakiMEP and deputy leader of PiS, assessed that “the year of the rule of law by Tusk and (Minister of Justice, Adam) Bodnar is a criminal chronicle.” – If we listed all the deeds in this chronicle, our conference would probably last for a week non-stop – he added.

– We have people who talk every day about accountability and compliance with the law, and they themselves openly admit that they will break the law, and they do it because they are the only ones in Poland who can break the law, because they are justified by fighting against us, he said.
