Kaczyński about rumors about Obajtek leaving Orlen

The deputy prime minister was asked in a Tuesday interview on Polish Radio24 about the rumor about the departure of Daniel Obajtek from the position of head of Orlen.

– This is completely untrue. Mr. Daniel Obajtek is great as the head of Orlen and the builder of a really great economic undertaking, of this great concern, which will be the largest in this part of Europe. And at the same time, it is already treated today by the largest concerns in this field – I am talking about petrochemical concerns – as not only a potential competitor. And this is a good sign, a good sign that we are starting and somehow count here – said the PiS president.

As he added, “when someone succeeds in something, it suddenly turns out that there are many people who would like to change him.”
