PiS Secretary General Krzysztof Sobolewski resigned

On Wednesday, the media reported that Krzysztof Sobolewski resigned from his position in the party. This information was confirmed by PiS vice-president Antoni Macierewicz in an interview with PAP. – Mr. Krzysztof resigned from the position of Secretary General of Law and Justice – he said. As he noted, he did not want to talk about details and referred him to the person concerned. – There is already his successor, who is his current deputy (Piotr Milowański – PAP) – he added.

Antoni Macierewicz also confirmed what the Prime Minister had previously said Mateusz Morawiecki and head of the PiS club Ryszard Terleckithat the party’s top leadership proposed to the head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak managing the Law and Justice club in the next term of the Sejm. – I can confirm this, it is true – he added. When asked if PiS would be in the opposition, she would be the current Speaker of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek will be the deputy speaker of the chamber, the vice-president of PiS replied: – The speaker is the speaker. I see no reason for her to stop being a marshal. This is undoubtedly the best marshal since 1991 and no one has any doubts about that – says Macierewicz.

Krzysztof Sobolewski was a PiS MP of the 9th term of the Sejm. In October elections he successfully ran for re-election in district no. 23 (Rzeszów). He was number two on the PiS list, but only achieved sixth place. He received 18,390 votes.

Sobolewski has been active in the party’s structures since 2018. First, he chaired the Executive Committee of Law and Justice, and over two years ago he took up the newly created position of PiS secretary general.
