PKO BP issued a warning. Bank customers receive fake emails. This is what they should watch out for

PKO BP announcement: “We warn against further attacks by cybercriminals. Beware of fake ones e-mails impersonating a bank with the topic: 'Mobile Confirmation Activation – Act now to continue using our services'. Messages have the address in the sender field: IPKO . The bank is not the author of these messages. The content includes a link to hxxps://login-advance[KROPKA]net/IPKO, which impersonates the IPKO website,” it was noted in the warning addressed to the bank's customers.

This is worth paying attention to: “Do not open attachments or click on links in these types of emails. If you click on the link, you may lose money and control over the account,” the bank further noted. PKO BP also reminded that emails and text messages from them never contain links. The bank recommends that before logging in to the iPKO website, you should always carefully check the website address.

Fraudsters use various methods: Let us recall that recently Poles received massive amounts inconspicuous text messages encouraging them to take advantage of financial assistance. It was also included in the message link to a fake sitewhich asked for various personal information – including primarily the PESEL number. The fraudsters then easily obtained the victims' personal data.
