PKO Bank Polski announces a weekend break in access to services. The work is expected to take more than 24 hours. During this time, some functions in the iPKO service and the IKO application will be unavailable.

PKO BP announced in a Thursday communiqué that it will introduce changes to selected IT systems this weekend. The changes “aim not only to make them more effective, but also to make their operation safer” – it was emphasized.

Work is scheduled to start at 11:00 p.m. on Friday and end at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. During this time, access to some selected banking services will be difficult. As explained, some functions of the iPKO and iPKO biznes services, the IKO and iPKO biznes mobile applications and the telephone service will not be available.

Customers will not be able to: open a new account, change the card limit, temporarily block it, check transaction history, repay debts, make transfers from a credit card (also as part of online payments “I pay with iPKO”) and use the open banking. As it was added, there may also be difficulties when paying with a card on the Internet and using the PKO Junior website and application.

“During the break, Blik will operate – apart from payments with a credit card as a source of financing this service” – we read in the announcement announcing technical work.

“It is worth planning important payment operations in advance”

That’s why the bank encourages: “What you have to do over the weekend, do today.” “Customers who plan larger purchases at the weekend and intend to use card payments, it is worth checking their daily transaction limit in advance, and if necessary, increase it before starting work planned by the bank on the website or mobile application. It is also worth planning important payment operations in advance, advise representatives of the largest bank in Poland.

At the same time, it was ensured that during technical works, cards in ATMs and transactions with payment cards within the limits set by customers – both payments in stores and withdrawals from ATMs – “will be handled on an ongoing basis”.

If necessary, PKO BP customers will be able to cancel their cards via the bank’s hotline (800 302 302).

PKO BP customers faced difficulties in accessing their accounts on Monday morning. There were difficulties in accessing the iPKO internet and telephone service and in using the bank’s website.
