PKO BP warns customers. “You can lose savings”

PKO BP warns about e-mails from fraudsters who impersonate the bank. The communication states that clicking on the link in the content can result in loss of savings and control over the account.

“Watch out for false messages impersonating our bank. The messages have the address: PKO Bank Polski. We are not the author of this content” – they were provided in a message published on the website.

Fraudsters impersonate PKO BP

PKO BP emphasized not to “open attachments and not click on links in such e-mails”. “If you click on the link, you can lose money and control over the account,” the bank warned.

The communiqué reminded that E-mails and text messages sent by PKO BP do not contain links.

“Before you log in to the IPKO website, always check the page address. Links to fake pages are also included in the search engine ads and look like ordinary search results” – added.

The largest banks in Poland

PKO BP is the largest bank in Poland. It has about 12 million customers, and the value of assets exceeded PLN 500 billion. The next places in the ranking of the largest banks in terms of assets are occupied by Pekao, Santander, ING and mBank.
