Two traffic officers in Pleszew (Greater Poland Voivodeship) heard accusations of accepting financial benefits. Both were immediately suspended from official duties. And their boss made the decision to release the suspects from the service. – The accusations are so serious that these two officers should absolutely not work in the police – emphasizes the spokesman of the Greater Poland Police.
On Friday, the District Prosecutor’s Office in Pleszew informed the commander of the local police that the charges had been presented to two policemen. This information was confirmed by PAP senior aspirant Monika Kołaska, spokesman for the Pleszew police. Both officers were charged with corruption offenses.
The officers were suspended from their duties, and “the commander initiated disciplinary proceedings aimed at expelling the policemen from the service due to an important interest” – informed the Pleszew police.
Disciplinary dismissal
It is known that the investigation was conducted by the Police Internal Affairs Office under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office. BSW deals, inter alia, with the prevention of crimes committed by policemen and police employees. The police commander in Pleszew made a decision to disciplinary release two suspected officers without waiting for the final result of the court proceedings. – He considered that the charges were so serious that these two officers should absolutely not work in the police – explained the junior inspector Andrzej Borowiak, the press spokesman of the Provincial Police Commander in Poznań.
