PLN 300 per child – “Good start”. There are deadlines for submitting applications

Parents of school-age children will receive PLN 300 for a school starter kit under the Good Start program. However, to receive the benefit, you must submit an application in advance. – Funding for a layette is available for each child studying at school aged 7 to 20, and if he or she has been diagnosed with a disability, up to the age of 24 – reminded Paweł Żebrowski, spokesman for the Social Insurance Institution.

ZUS spokesman Paweł Żebrowski noted that this is the fourth year in which applications for co-financing school kits under the Good Start program are being considered. Social Security. Last year, across Poland, ZUS paid PLN 1 billion and 38 million for almost 4.6 million children, the so-called school layette.

PLN 300 for a school layette

– Under the program, parents can receive PLN 300 once a year for the purchase of school supplies, for example textbooks, notebooks or school supplies – he recalled.

He added that the benefit is payable to a child who is studying and aged between 7 and 20, or up to 24 if he or she has been diagnosed with a disability – regardless of the parents' earnings. Financial support is not available for children studying in the so-called kindergartens and students.

– Please remember that the ages of 20 and 24 are counted on a yearly basis, which means that students of the last years of technical and secondary schools as well as students of post-secondary schools are also entitled to the benefit if they completed the cut-off age, i.e. 20 or 24 years of age, before the beginning of the year school this calendar year – said the ZUS spokesman.

Applications for PLN 300 for a student can be submitted from July 1 to the end of November only electronically. If the application is correctly completed and submitted by the end of August, the money will be paid no later than September 30. Submitting an application after November 30 will only be possible if a child over 20 years of age obtains a disability certificate after November 30.

How to submit an application?

Submitting the application itself is very simple. However, remember to enter the data correctly – the correct PESEL number of the child, the name and address of the school or the current account number.

The easiest and fastest way to submit an application for 300 plus is the mZUS application, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Play and App Store. To activate the ZUS mobile application, connect it to your profile on the ZUS Electronic Services Platform. Parents who do not have an account at PUE ZUS can submit an application for the 300 plus benefit via electronic banking or the Emp@tia portal.
