At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in Płock, agents of the Central Anticorruption Bureau detained 13 people in the case of “fictitious donations for religious purposes.” Among those detained is a parish priest who issued documents confirming receipt of alleged donations to the Płock parish – Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the coordinator of special services, announced on Tuesday on the X website.
“Today, at the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in Płock, CBA agents detained 13 people in the case of fictitious donations for religious purposes,” Dobrzyński said.
As he added, “among those detained is a parish priest who issued documents confirming receipt of alleged donations to the parish in Płock.”

Detentions in Płock and throughout the country
The District Prosecutor in Płock, Małgorzata Orkwiszewska, confirmed that 13 people had been detained, including in Płock and other places in the country. – Activities in this case are still being carried out – prosecutor Orkwiszewska said on Tuesday afternoon.
Citing the interests of the proceedings and the actions taken, she refused to provide details of the case.
“We have taken note of the information regarding the arrest of the former parish priest of the Płock parish, belonging to our province,” said the press spokesman of the Salesian Province of Warsaw, Fr. Piotr Sosnowski.
“We do not know the detailed reason for these actions, apart from press information,” he said in a statement published on Tuesday on the inspectorate's website.
In this position, the press spokesman of the Salesian Province of Warsaw declared its openness to help and “full readiness to cooperate with the relevant authorities to thoroughly clarify this matter.”
