On June 18, the District Court in Płock set a deadline for announcing the judgment in the trial of five accused in the case of the abduction and murder of Krzysztof Olewnik. During the last hearing before the announcement of the judgment, Jacek K. was the only accused who appeared in court. All five defendants in the process of abduction and murder of Krzysztof Olewnik are responsible for their free foot.
Taking advantage of the right to a replica, Jacek K. did not refer directly to the allegations on Wednesday and the prosecutor's earlier speech. He reminded that “yesterday Krzysztof Olewnik would be 49 years old”. Turning to the accusation, including Włodzimierz Olewnik, father Krzysztof, Jacek K. asked if they would repeat the allegations formulated against him in the indictment, faced in front of his 26-year-old son who was present in the courtroom.
At the end of the Wednesday hearing, after hearing all replicas of the parties, including defenders of absent accused, judge Justyna Wawrzyńczak announced that the judgment would be announced on June 18.

The second trial in this matter
The trial before the District Court in Płock is the second in this case. It began at the end of March 2022. The indictment together with the evidence gathered, with over 400 volumes, got there from the Krakow branch of the National Prosecutor's Office in June 2021. Five people have allegations.
The main accused Jacek K. investigated in the organized armed criminal group, as well as participation in taking using Krzysztof Olewnik's violence as a hostage and holding him to pay 300,000. euro ransom in height. According to the indictment, the period and manner of keeping the abducted, including Chasing it with a chain to the walls and placing in a tank for waste, he connected with its special torment and eventually he was deprived of life.

He did not admit, he called the allegations absurd
Already during the first hearing, Jacek K. did not confess to the alleged acts, and described the allegations as absurd. In the final speech, which he gave at the end of April, he argued, among others, that Krzysztof Olewnik was like his brother for him, and he treated Włodzimierz Olewnik like his own father. He also asked the court for a thorough analysis of the evidence and issuing a fair judgment.
According to the indictment, the role of Jacek K. was to consist in the fact that on an undetermined day, from 12 to 26 October 2001, he ordered Krzysztof Olewnik to be taken as a hostage and holding him. He was also to provide kidnappers with information about the security of Krzysztof Olewnik's property and leave the door ajar in his house, which enabled the kidnappers to get into the building.
According to investigators, after kidnapping, Jacek K. was also to make changes in the appearance of the place of abduction at the house of Krzysztof Olewnik, removing forensic traces in order to make it difficult to find the real course of the event. The actions taken by Jacek K., as the indictment says, were to suggest a false version of the self -assignment of Krzysztof Olewnik.

Four other accused
Similar allegations, including participation in a group that kidnapped Krzysztof Olewnik, the Krakow branch of the National Prosecutor's Office also presented to Eugeniusz D., pseud. Gienek. The indictment was also covered by Grzegorz K., a former local government officer from Sierpc, who was accused of, among others Use to achieve the financial benefits of the emotional state of Włodzimierz Olewnik, i.e. the abducted father, and to provide him with false information and to extort 160 thousand. zloty.
The allegations of bringing Włodzimierz Olewnik to an unfavorable regulation of property were also presented to two other accused, including Andrzej Ł. – by over 120 thousand PLN and false assurance of the possibility of releasing the kidnapped – and Mikołaj B. for transferring 13 thousand PLN and misleading as to the possibility of identifying the login places of the phone used by the hijackers.
Kidnapping and death
Krzysztof Olewnik's 25-year-old abducted at the night of October 26 to 27, 2001. Then the perpetrators contacted his family several dozen times, demanding the ransom. In July 2003, kidnappers got 300,000 euro, but they did not slow down the abducted. Later, it turned out that he was murdered a month after the criminals received money. The perpetrators buried his body in a forest near Różan (Mazowieckie). The corpse was found in 2006.
Three perpetrators took their lives in prisons in Olsztyn and Płock. The head of the group Wojciech F. in 2007, before the first trial, and after the announcement of the judgment Sławomir K. in 2008 and Robert P. in 2009.
During one of the hearings of the current trial, in September 2024, the court told the parties that the previously planned interrogation as witnesses of the brother and mother of Robert P. would not occur, because they both are both dead. The representative of the Olewniki family then reported that another witness also died – a former policeman who helped his loved ones Krzysztof Olewnik in search of after abduction.
