Płock. There is consent to the expansion of the outlet to the capital. Drivers will gain an additional road

The Płock authorities received permission to expand the Wyszogrodzka Street, i.e. the exit road towards Warsaw. The investment plan assumes the construction of a second northern thread of the road. Construction is to last until 2027.

The Mazowieckie Voivode issued permission on Friday, June 13 allowed the reconstruction of a fragment of Wyszogrodzka Street in Płock and the national road number 62 running there within the city limits. The City Hall in Płock announced that the investment tender is to be announced this year.

The national “62” connects Płock with Warsaw. The section of the route running along Wyszogrodzka Street is one of the most great in the city. It is used, among others, by vehicles passing through the city transit, including trucks.

Officials explained in a Friday announcement that the work would apply to a section of 1.3 kilometers long, from the intersection with Aleja Home Army at the peripheral housing estate of Zielony Jar to Harcerska Street in the Imielnica district, close to the city border. The investment plan assumes the construction of a second northern thread of the road.

“The construction of a new belt of Wyszogrodzka Street will last until the end of 2027” – announced the deputy president of Płock for development and investment Artur Zieliński, quoted in the announcement of the Płock City Hall.

Roundabout, bicycle road and new pavement

According to the Płock self -government, the new, northern roadway of Wyszogrodzka Street will cut the river Rosica with embankment, under which the culvert will be found, as it is with the currently existing route thread. On the north side of the designed road, a pavement and bicycle path will be built, while the pavement, which is on the south side, will be turned into a pedestrian and bicycle route.

As emphasized by the Płock magistrate, the voivode's decision regarding the reconstruction of the section of Wyszogrodzka Street also allows the construction of the intersection in the Imielnica district of the turbine roundabout, as well as the exit from it towards the town of Słupno.

The next episode will be rebuilt by GDDKiA

The investment will be implemented in consultation with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, which plans to rebuild Wyszogrodzka on its further section. It is two kilometers and runs from Harcerska Street to the road to Mirosław in the neighboring commune of Słupno.

According to the Płock self -government, GDDKiA will participate in the costs of investment implementation in the city, and in exchange the city will participate in the costs of building the section from the Imielnica district to the intersection with the road to Mirosław.

Investment for nearly PLN 99 million

In 2022, the Ministry of Infrastructure reported that the purpose of the reconstruction of ul. Wyszogrodzka in Płock and the local national road No. 62 on a section with a length of a total length of 3.3 km “is to improve traffic, improve safety and standard of movement, increase the safety of pedestrian traffic, including disabled people and cyclists, ordering the development of the area in the immediate vicinity and improving collective communication”.

The ministry emphasized that the investment will be implemented on the basis of an agreement regulating the division of competence between the citys of Płock and GDDKiA. The value of the task was then estimated at almost PLN 99 million, of which about PLN 47 million was to come from the state budget.

Also in 2022, the Płock City Hall assured that he secured PLN 51 million in the long -term financial forecast for the implementation of its part of the investment.
