Police officers from Płock in Mazovia detained two robbery perpetrators who used a metal hook to threaten a senior citizen with beating and death. The aggressors also demanded money from the 82-year-old. The men were temporarily arrested.
Last Wednesday, in one of the allotment gardens in Płock, an 82-year-old man noticed suspicious men who broke the gate, broke the window and tried to break into the neighbor’s gazebo.
“When the senior drew their attention, the men, showing a sharp hook, began to threaten him with beating, depriving him of his life and demanded money from him. The injured party had a few zlotys with him, which he handed over to the attackers out of fear for his life. The police, alerted by witnesses, immediately arrived at the scene and detained perpetrators and secured a dangerous item,” said Staff Sergeant Monika Jakubowska, spokeswoman for the Płock police.
They face up to 20 years in prison
The evidence collected by the Płock officers allowed them to be charged. “The court imposed a three-month arrest on a 38-year-old resident of the Sierpc district and a 33-year-old resident of the Płock district,” the policewoman further informed.
As she recalled, they face up to 20 years in prison for robbery using a dangerous object and attempted burglary.
