Police officers from Płońsk detained a suspect of committing a robbery at the skatepark in Płońsk. According to the officers, the 16-year-old beat up two teenagers and took brand shoes from one of them.
– The assault took place a few days ago, when a group of young men approached three teenagers sitting on a bench near the skate park – Commissioner Kinga Drężek-Zmysłowska informed on Saturday.
– After a short exchange of words, one of them attacked those sitting and hit them several times in the face. He demanded that one of the victims remove his legs and give him branded shoes. When he refused, the attacker attacked him again, beating him in the face. The 16-year-old, in order to avoid further violence, gave what the aggressor demanded, Drężek-Zmysłowska said.
Robbery is punishable by up to 12 years in prison
The police established the identity of the perpetrator of the robbery. It turned out to be a 16-year-old, a resident of the Płońsk commune – he was detained; at the same time, the shoes he had stolen were recovered.
– The suspect pleaded guilty, but could not logically explain his behavior. Soon his case will be dealt with by the family and juvenile court – said the spokeswoman for the Płońsk police.
She reminded that according to the law in force, the perpetrator of a robbery is punishable by up to 12 years in prison.
