The 37-year-old broke into a summer house, took two bottles of expensive champagne and hid in the woods. He emptied one bottle quickly, the other he didn’t manage to open. He had it with him when he fell into the hands of the police. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

A few days ago, Płońsk policemen intervened in one of the villages in the Sochocin commune, where a summer house was broken into.

– The victim informed the officers that when she was in the yard she heard the sound of breaking glass. After a while, she saw a man come out of the window of the summerhouse, his hands were bloody and in them two bottles of expensive champagne. Seeing the woman, he ran towards the forest, reports Komm. Kinga Drężek-Zmysłowska from the Płońsk police.

He tried to run away, the alcohol didn’t help

The uniforms checked the adjacent area and the nearby forest. They spotted a man whose appearance matched the description given by the victim. The 37-year-old tried to run away, but was quickly apprehended by them. As it turned out, he had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

He had one of the stolen bottles with him, he hadn’t had time to open it yet. The other he emptied while hiding in the woods. After sobering up, he was charged with burglary and faces up to 10 years in prison.
